While this is a very low level introduction, it seems to go more and more in depth, (found this at work, so can’t spend too much time on it). Though its low level, and focused on linux, I found a few things that I didn’t know, even being a CLI junky. I suggest this as a read for everyone who ever uses anything that doesn’t have 4 primary colored boxes on it, and even those MS people too. While a few things might be a little off in OS X, the bulk of it works (as I was skimming I might have missed a difference, but I don’t think so).

USA National Gas Temperature Map

“Now you can see what gas prices are around the country at a glance. Areas are color coded according to their price for the average price for regular unleaded gasoline.”

Don’t know if anyone is following gas prices, but its a nice $$ map if you are.

Tattoo Art > UV Blacklight Ink - Tattoo Artists.org

“Blacklight reactive ink is a great way to have a tattoo that no one can see but under the blacklight or to add a little something special to trip out your friends.
Really how safe is Chameleon Blacklight Tattoo Ink?
Given its extensive testing of FDA approval, with absolutely no adverse reactions to it in over ten years, it is all in the proof, this ink is most likely the safest ink on the market.”

Windows on an Intel Mac?…Bah…Kids Stuff!

About a year ago I watched a special on the Chernobyl disaster on PBS and was shocked by the affects that moment has had on an entire region. I surfed around on the internet for a while and came across a fascinating story about a young woman from Kiev, Ukraine that took a tour on a motorcycle of what is called the “dead zone.” With the twentieth anniversary of meltdown a few days away I thought I would post what I found to be a very interesting story about what the author calls “Ghost Town.”

For what the site lacks in proper English and formatting it makes up for in content.

BBC NEWS | Health | Sex cues ruin men’s decisiveness

“Catching sight of a pretty woman really is enough to throw a man’s decision-making skills into disarray, a study suggests.”

However this article also states.

“If there are no cues around, they behave normally.
“But if they see sexual images they become impulsive.”
He added: “It’s a tendency, but these people are not powerless to fight it.
“Hormone levels are one thing, but we can learn to deal with it.”

So its a… Hey baby how you doing, oops sorry what was I typing. Me I just don’t fight nature.

So, after a bit of prodding, I am posting this, because, well, it should make you laugh. I mean, really, who here wasn’t a fan of Knight Rider? And while we may not be German, we can still laugh.

So I know I have posted about this robot band before, however they just released their new “I got Married by Robots!” tour schedule. My town is on there how about yours? I am not missing them this time around.
