Chinese black helicopters circle Google Earth | The Register

“Those among you who like your skies darkened by black helicopters are invited to mosey on down to the remote Chinese village of Huangyangtan which hosts what must be the strangest military installation ever spotted by the Google Earth Community.”

Chris Cornell, the lead singer from Soundgarden (with hits such as Black Hole Sun and Spoonman from my high school days), will be the artist for the title song in Casino Royale. Might be the only good fit for the new Bond movie.

Are You a Mosquito Magnet?

It’s true. Mosquitoes do exhibit blood-sucking preferences, say the experts. “One in 10 people are highly attractive to mosquitoes,” reports Jerry Butler, PhD, professor emeritus at the University of Florida. Incidentally, it’s not dinner they’re sucking out of you. Female mosquitoes — males do not bite people — need human blood to develop fertile eggs. And apparently, not just anyone’s.

So this is not my usual type of post by I did find it thought provoking.

Quote from the link:
By this point, I figured I’d better just keep to myself. So I got a jar out of the cafeteria and went into the woods. I got a bumblebee into the jar and put some flowers in there to keep him happy. I was poking holes in the top to let fresh air in when I was hauled off to the director again.

This time, he was really mad. He said, who did I think I was giving a “death sentence” to an innocent bee? He said I had no respect for the Earth and that it was people like me who were responsible for hurting the environment. He said I’ll be lucky if the world doesn’t end before I collect Social Security.

Apparently it can survive entry into space…so much for washing it off my car with just plain old soap and water.

Sorry about not posting for awhile, the mission is keeping me busy. In case you’ve been following, my Wing Leading Edge (WLE) sensors detected 6 probable impacts, but of an extremely low magnitude. I may have a few nice pics to post after the mission…I have some pretty detailed photos of these droppings…

TURIN, Italy — Alfa Romeo executives have confirmed the marque’s return to North America in late 2009 with an initial wave of three models: the Brera coupe, the 159 sedan and the Spider.
Two other future models are under consideration for North America, but not until after 2010.

The Caparo T1, 0-100-0 MPH in 8.5 sec. 200+ mph top speed. 495 HP 2.4-liter V8 and a little over a 1000 pounds.
Not to bad I think!!!

So i wanted to try a new type of post, we can play with the names real or fake, fact or fiction whatever. And have a debate whether the topic is real or not (actually I like that title). Part Mythbusters, dash of mystery, and the aroma of conspiracy.

Damn Im hungry now.

So here is the first one. Enjoy and let me know what you think.
