Morning to the masses, it another Monday morning here in sunny…. Moving on I shant bore you with the details and get to the point. I was reminded of an article I read many moons ago and found I still had a paper copy of it(contact me to see the yellowed paper version). I searched the net and found it in an online archive. Its a funny and insightful read on geek romance.
I Married a Mac Man
“Mac men treat their women like they treat their computers; with love, honor, adoration, passion and respect.”
Also I did NOT look up if that are now divorced, cause I would rather not know. In the end this old geek is just a softy for a good romance story with a happy ending.

And with that said…ladies, I am officially putting myself on the market as a Mac Man!
Actually, there were parts of this that were kind of scary. Especially that whole pissing in a bucket thing. Not sure what that was about but I’m a little creeped out by it.
Oh my lord that is funny!!!
How does one go from being a hippie to being…that?
a lack of weed.
a lack of weed, or more weed. I’m with zoo boy on the ‘kind of scary’ view.
Yeah, this woman doesn’t seem like she is entirely stable. From the kind of weird pick up line of “what operating system do you use?” to her getting married two days after actually meeting the guy…something’s not right there. I think she is one of those scary people on internet dating sites (or was assuming she’s still married). And it might be a result of just too much weed or other psychotropic drugs from her “hippie” days.
ok ok ok I see a band wagon being built here. I guess I should have said this article is for entertaining purposes only. 1 word, decaf!
*End Trasmission*
decaf? You tell me that now?
So, a Mac Man is great huh? Well, what does that mean if I use Mac by day and Linux by night? Wow, that just sounds dirty.
I feel left out…
I know the author of that article, Beth.
As of September 2007 she and her husband are still VERY happily married and living in the states.
Beth is a Queen among women.
Unconventional, yes.
Wide open to all Life has to offer, yes.
And no, not above peeing in a bucket.
She has an appreciation for all that came before her.
Sharkey -
This is a great article and story. If you talk to her tell her people are still enjoying her “Married a Mac Man” Story.
Thanks for the comment
- Mr. O (whom some may define as a MacMan himself)
