A few years back the head of the Greek Orthodox Church ranted and raved because the government wanted to take the "Religion" category off the national ID cards. We tend to have a double standard on these things. We only get involved if ending the persecution serves our own ends. In this case the situation would have to be opposite, the pagans would have to be persecuting the Christians in order for America to sit up and take notice. On another note, what is the general vibe like in Greece when it comes to the ancient gods? Is there really that much outrage over pagans or did this article kind of blow it out of proportion?
