I had a thought the past few days that sites like digg.com are making our "news" orientated site obsolete. So, I pose two questions to the group.
#1 Am I nuts or do you agree?
#2 What can we do to spruce things up or at least make the site more conducive to a world with an attention span of a squirrel?

Ok how about hooking our website into digg.com?
#1 Yes you are nuts but not because of this.
#2 There are many things we can do to spruce things up and im always up for ideas, i have a few I have not had time to implement.
Digg is not killing this site, actually many stories that are here have shown up on digg, which actually maybe part of your point. Thats OK this place allows a select few to share info with friends. I was a relativley early adopter of digg and loved it, however recently the quality of stores that make the front page has gone way done and i find myself reading digg less. I actually see this time as better for our little site to help the creme of the crop stories to be seen and read here.
As for submitting to digg, hmmmmm digg etiquette says you do not promote yourself on digg, however with the recent flood of silliness on digg maybe the rules have changed.
While I have known about digg for a while it wasn’t until Tex made a comment that he “lives on Digg” that I paid it much attention. I must say I’m now hooked.
